Astrea Astrea is a band on the rise. Formed in Southern Massachusetts in 2005, the group has tirelessly worked to get ahead in an often congested local scene. Astrea understands that the work they put in is equal to the payoff earned, and this mentality is central to their ever growing fanbase - a point indisputable - given the fact that they've built quite an intense following in a short period of time. The band seemingly lives by one rule: Work hard, Play harder. | | This item includes 5 comments |

Poison the Well Once again, Poison the Well has broken the boundaries of hardcore with their newest studio release, Versions. This is the trio’s fourth album and, by far, their most evolved. Each song is distinct, adding various and unique instruments to the mix to give every track a new and different taste, including mandolins, banjos, synthesizers, and trumpets. Versions begins with Letter Things, a fast-paced, hard hitting single that traces back to PTW’s punk influences. Jeffrey Moreira’s vocals are harsh yet melodic, switching from clean vocals to screams gracefully. The energy and matchless efforts that these Florida natives create in this one song carries itself throughout the entire album, all the way to the last track, “The First Day Of My Second Life.” The progression of this band shows throughout each individual track. | | This item includes 1 comment |

Website: www.myspace.com/sighband Striving in Greater Hopes Leaving audiences in a state of euphoria and awe with their vibrant and haunting vocals and hard-hitting chords, Striving In Greater Hopes, better known as S.i.G.H., breaks out of their Long Island enclave into the Tri-State area’s bustling music scene. From their multi-cultural backgrounds and their diverse wealth of influences and skills, they have strung together their own distinctive brand of music into a fusion that they have described as melodious hard rock. With their eclectic blend of hard rock and pop, they do not wish to be classified or aligned into any particular genre as they strive and evolve to create music that evokes people’s spirits. This multi-talented band boasts of their perfect line up with Cyrille Robes on vocals, Jeff Lyons on drums, JayR Castillo on bass, and Daniel Buquicchio on guitars. As a testament to their talents, they have already performed at numerous hotspots in the Northeast. | | This item includes 4 comments |
